At the end of Anti-Poverty Week, we will follow the route of the 1931 Beef March, one of the largest mobilisations of unemployed people in South Australian history.
You are invited to join us for all or part of this 15km march, which will stop at Centrelink, job networks, and other epicentres of the ongoing attacks on all of us who are, increasingly, stuck at the bottom of a broken economy.
This Trek is a demonstration of the long history of struggle for those out of work and living in poverty – our victories may sometimes be temporary, but our defeat will never be final.
